On a wooden ledge in the foreground, a cat rubs up against a clawed pot holding flowers. The feline's coat is dark with the exception of a white strip running from its belly up to its chin.  An iron railing spans the width of the background. A second pot of flowers without clawed feet is visible behind the cat; some of its flowers appear to be growing through the lattice of the railing.

In this scene, a young prince, seen at right in his bejeweled splendor, offers reverence to an ascetic. The sage, nearly naked and with matted hair, sits on an animal skin. His right hand is in the gesture of exposition, suggesting that he is preaching to his courtly audience.

Line drawing in felt tip marker on ivory ~ 10x13” paper with shading. Woman’s arm and dress filled in completely with black, as well as a pane of the stained glass window that she holds. The wall, pitcher, parts of the woman’s head and shoulder covering and bodice, and cash register have been modeled in stylized “half tone” of zigzag separating white and black; shadows take the form of dense curlicues. The tablecloth bears splotches of black ink that were possibly made by blowing air on wet ink through a straw. The map has been filled in with ink drips and splatters.

The tablecloth bears a “pattern” of crosses and eye-shaped forms. The map has been filled in with fingerprints.

This work shows an elderly woman sitting on a bench, reading a book. She wears a scarf over her head. Next to her on the bench is an animal—possibly a monkey—that sits upright. There is a wash of grey ink above the woman's head, a faint sketch of a lamp, and spots of black ink.

She holds a blank tablet in her left hand (against which she also leans her head), and a sprig of laurel leaves in her right hand, which rests behind her right thigh. Laurel leaves also decorate her hair. A ribbon crosses her chest and right hip.
